Loas please come tell me why (Missing David Kato)

how do i speak when my heart cannot breathe
what do i look for on this path i did not seek
Loas please come tell me why

how do i turn a soul cemented in grief
what do i hold near when i doubt all belief
Loas please come tell me why

the blood stains hardening mud into red clay
huckster soon come sell as exotic pots for display
Loas please come tell me why

what claim be valor in such cowardice mirth
what spiritual uplift in a heathen’s hearth
Loas please come tell me why

such depth lies the pain
intertwined with the inane
sounds of malice frothing mouths
Loas please come tell me why

Loas please come tell me why
My Brother of A Shared Earth Mother
David Kato
had to die
Loas please come tell me why

  1. Thanks for this wonderful poem concerning David. I wish David had the chance to see how much he was loved all over the world. David is dead but he still live in the hearts of so many of us.
    David, my hero.

  2. Heart-breaking poetry that speaks to my soul.
